A Day Dedicated to Free Flight

On March 28, 2026, at the former Church of San Michele Arcangelo in Cesi, A.S.D. Gruppo Vele Cesi will celebrate 20 years of activity (2006–2026) with a day dedicated to the culture of free flight, meteorology, and pilot safety. The event, with free entry, will be an opportunity for pilots, enthusiasts, and curious visitors to meet and learn from experts in the field. Topics will include understanding microclimates in free flight and interpreting aerological conditions to support pilots, presented by Aero Club Prodelta.

The day will also cover the technological evolution of wings, materials, and airfoil profiles, with a talk by Massimiliano Travaglini, instructor and technical manager in the paragliding sector. Ample attention will be given to safety and maintenance of flight equipment, including the importance of periodic material checks and updated folding and storage techniques, presented by SkyLab Foligno. The program begins at 10:00 AM with presentations, followed by a refreshment break at 1:30 PM organized by A.S.D. Gruppo Vele Cesi, and continues from 3:00 PM with additional talks and technical demonstrations.

The event is an opportunity to celebrate two decades of the group’s activity and to promote knowledge, safety, and passion for free flight.
