An educational workshop for the regeneration of the village of Cesi
In March 2026, the charming village of Cesi, just outside Terni, will host “PAZ Kids – Mission Cesi: Discovering the Territory”, an educational workshop dedicated to younger participants and designed to help children connect with the place where they live through creative experiences, exploration, and storytelling.
The initiative is part of the broader cultural and social regeneration project “PAZ /// esperienza Cesi. La Comunità tra pensiero e azione”, a wider program aimed at enhancing the village as a high-quality tourist and residential destination by promoting community participation, local identity, and sustainable development.
Through an educational program structured into four meetings, participants will be guided in discovering the village through direct observation of its spaces, the collection of local stories and legends, and the exploration of the surrounding landscape, learning how to read and interpret the environment around them.
The workshop will begin on March 5, 2026, with an introductory meeting presenting the activities and addressing themes of sustainability, linked to Goal 11 of the 2030 Agenda, focused on sustainable cities and communities.
On March 6, children will explore the streets of the village among symbols, stories, and local memories, also meeting a local witness who will share traditions and curiosities connected to the area.
The session on March 18 will be dedicated to the creative reinterpretation of the experience: participants will create a collective illustrated map of Cesi, representing monuments, legends, and local identities.
The program will conclude on March 20, when children will imagine their own “ideal Cesi,” designing symbolic coats of arms and banners inspired by the values of sustainability and active citizenship.
Beyond its educational value, the project helps strengthen the bond between community and territory, promoting awareness of local cultural heritage, creativity, and civic participation. An initiative that looks toward the future by starting with the youngest generation, transforming education into a tool for the cultural and tourism enhancement of the village.
